Your RSVP, A way with words..

Already we're into the first week of 2010, a season which looks to be very busy and packed full of exciting weddings. Those getting hitched in January have probably enjoyed a truly 'white winter wonderland wedding' and we can't wait to see their pictures!

With 2009 behind us, many couples are now thinking about sending out their wedding invitations, RSVPs and guest information cards. Wording your wedding invitations are quite often a hot topic and is definitely one of the main questions we are asked for guidance on. With this in mind here's a few pointers:

Our most popular wedding invitation wording can be found online at http://www.your-rsvp.co.uk/ and features the most selected choices.

Traditional wording (from the brides parents)
Mr and Mrs James Allen request the pleasure of your company at the marriage of their daughter Sarah Jayne to Mark David Johnson at Down Hall Country House Hotel, Hatfield Heath on Saturday 17th September 2011 at 1.30pm.

Modern Wording (from both sets of parents)
Mr and Mrs James Allen and Mr and Mrs Paul Johnson request the pleasure of your company at the wedding of Sarah Jayne to Mark David at Down Hall Country House Hotel, Hatfield Heath on Saturday 17th September 2011 at 1.30pm.

Alternative Wording (from the couple)
Miss Sarah Jayne Allen and Mr Mark David Johnson request the pleasure of your company at their marriage at Down Hall Country House Hotel, Hatfield Heath on Saturday 17th September 2011 at 1.30pm.

Contemporary Wording (from the couple and both sets of parents)
Mr and Mrs James Allen and their daughter Sarah Jayne together with Mr and Mrs Paul Johnson and their son Mark David request the pleasure of your company at the wedding of Sarah Jayne and Mark David at Down Hall Country House Hotel, Hatfield Heath on Saturday 17th September 2011 at 1.30pm.

There are of course other circumstances that need to be considered such as:
Divorced parents
Separated parents
Invitation from children within the relationship
Deceased parent/s

We are flexible at Your RSVP and can use any wording style selection of your choice. If you decide to order with us, and your wording style is not within our 'popular' selection, simply email us (sales@your-rsvp.co.uk) with your words and we'll be happy to accommodate (no extra charges apply).
